Ahh

Why must I be here? Is it my destiny to hate? Is it my destiny to not want to get up in the morning? Is it my destiny to die? Or is my destiny to kill. Either way, It won’t last much longer.

Within the next 2 weeks, it will be over and I’ll be gone. Forget all this anger, forget all the yelling, forget all rage. Should I be happy, sad, or otherwise, I will no longer be living in this house.

2 weeks = 14 days = 336 hours = 20 160 minutes = 1 209 600 seconds

Emo Day

Thanks to Ashley, Today is Emo Day. Yes today will be anything and everything Emo. Lets hope in rains so I can wear my black hoodie and I’ll carry around my laptop bag and act all depressed. Yeah, ok I won’t do that because it’s way too damn hot out, even if it does rain. But it was a nice thought huh? Anyway, check out the Emo-tastic links below.

Looky, Looky

Take the MIT Weblog Survey

So I don’t have too much to blog about ATM. I’m attempting to find some links or something interesting on BoingBoing, but it’s coming up short. My next stop is I-am-Bored. Anywhere, here is what I have so far.

Kitty Train! It’s an actual train and has kitty ears! I’m not huge cat fan (understatement of the year) but this is cool. [Link]

Some guy decided to make a collection (a nice one I might add) of a bunch of NES stuff that had come out. It’s funny how Nintendo had it all out before it was cool, now it’s coming back revamped and being the bomb digity. Anyway, I highly recommend you check it out. [Link]

And that’s all I have! What a huge amount huh? I’ll come up with something of value to blog about tomorrow. I’m also planning on giving shirtninja a new layout. It’s slowly putting itself together in my head as we speak. My set date is August 6th for having the new layout done (Blogathon) but I’m hoping to have it done up before then. Anyway, so keep an eye out in the coming days/weeks, as I know I’ll be asking advice on stuff. That is all.

Edit: I’m on the hunt to find a charity (Canadian if possible, but not needed) that is dedicated to Online safety or child safety online or something along those lines. So far I only have WiredSafety noted. So if you find anything, letting me know ASAP would be awesome. Thanks readers.

Mmm, moonlight

So Cheryl and I took off tonight, got picked up to go hang out at about 9:30pm, came back about 3:30am or so. We went to some Francaphone concert thing (La bastille [sp] ). I didn’t understand many of the words in the songs, only because I couldn’t make out WTF they were saying because it was fast. Good beats though.

After, Marshall and I scared the living hell out of Tanya and Tee. They had gone to Marshall’s car before everybody else because of the bugs, so I said to Marshall “I bet they’re having a quickie” (Note: They’re not lesbians) and he said “We should go check it out” and I replied “Let’s go scare them instead”.

So we snuck all the way around the park (wear our white and yellow shirts) and hid behind some trees. Now the car was in the middle of the parking lot, by itself. So we crawled about 40 feet across the parking lot on our stomachs. First we shook the car. Then we didn’t know what to do. So 10 minutes later, we shook it again. Still, they stayed in the car. So we shook it again. Then we saw a car going to drive by, so we took that distraction and crawled to the front of the car. Just as we got there, we saw the others coming up from the end of the concert. We knew we had to act fast, or this would all be for nothing. So we dove up on the front hood of the car. They screamed SO loud that the others heard them like 40 feet away.

Now at first, we were laughing, because we got them good (the plan was perfectly executed). However after a minute, we realized that we actually scared them, and that sucks. Tee ended up crying and Tanya, well I fear to sleep. Tee finally admitted it was good, but I still think Tanya is going to kill us.

So then we went to McDicks until they kicked us out at 1am, then went to a park (yes, with swings, slides, etc) and hung out until 3. So it was a good night.

Oh, here’s a neat game called Poom that Angie pointed out to me just now. Very cool. So far my best has been 950, but I vow that I will get 1000 before bed
Anyway, that’s it. I should sleep soon, it’s 5:30am. So That is all.

They got me!

So they finally pulled me into the dark side: I was forced to upgrade to Movable Type 3. I had been able to resiist and stick with 2.6 up until now, but the spam comments have got to me, I just can’t handle it anymore. So I’ve moved my blog over to MT3, but I’ve left Monkspa and the hostees on 2.6. Why, you ask? Because this free version only allows 1 author and 3 weblogs. So hosting a community blog wouldn’t really work.

So anyway, Version 3 is like…wow. Much more graphically pleasing than 2.6 (though I love 2.6 to death). It also has a lot of little things, like buttons for effects (bold, italic, underline) instead of having to code it. Going to save a lot of time. It also just has minor stuff, like easier access to features. I don’t know, it’s just better. I still can’t afford to pay for it though, it’s still too expencive for my taste. Oh well, I can live with not letting people post on this blog.

In somewhat related news: Blogathon 2005 has been announced for August 6th. It should be good. I like blogging. I’ll talk about it more as we come closer to the event.

Whatelse do I have to talk about…not too much. It’s been/is being proven that I suck at math. I got Nigel to check over the hours I worked (to make sure I added them correctly) and I completely forgot to add a shift. Though somehow I still got the right answer, which means I screwed up in a 2nd spot as well. Either way, the total is right. And that’s what is important right? Oh well.

So that’s about all I have to talk about. Still haven’t moved out (or thought more about it), upgraded the ram in my laptop so it’s amazing, sleeping a lot because it’s hot. Yay summer!
That is all.

Coolios

So, as you can (or can not) notice from the previous post, I now have the ability to post from my cell phone. I don’t plan on doing it often (as it will cost me an arm and a leg) but the option is there, and that’s cool.

So, the past few days I have been obsessed with HitchHikers Guide to the Galaxy. I saw the movie a few weeks back, and it was wow. So I downloaded the audiobook, it rocked. Then I downloaded the second one of the series (The restauraunt at the end of the universe) and it rocked. So now I’m on the 3rd one. I’m loving this series. So cool. So I’ve been wasting all my time on that one.

Hmm, what else is new…not much. I’m starting to get kind of bored again, and I blame summer. Summer always makes me tired and bored.

So if anybody can think of anything super-cool or awesome to do or whatever, let me know. I just need something to occupy my time. Games, ideas, whatever; just say it!
That is all!

Well look at that!

I don’t know what it is, but it seems whenever I have something I could talk about, I just don’t feel like blogging about it. I know, it’s easier to blog about something then when you have something to blog about you’re too busy with it to blog about it. Oh the delema.

So first off. the laptop: It is here, and it is fine. My nice 2.1gHZ runs well, with exception to the ram (256mb). I was planning on putting off the upgrade of that ($72) until a later date, but no. I was looking at iPods on ebay, and found a nice 10GB for $113, I was going to get it. Then my computer lagged me out. That was the straw, ram is needed now! So I’m going to go down to Canada Computers today and pick it up. I think I should be fine with 768mb ram for now, no? Then my computer will be ‘awesomer’.

Next on the list: Check out Tom’s Blog. Yay for blogging!

What else to talk about…I just signed a contract renewal for my current position (woo hoo, I passed the probationary period!). Yes, this means I didn’t get the position I wanted in Toronto. But it’s all good, things happen for a reason.

I’m still looking to move to Toronto, though at this point I’m having doubts of it. OK, lets say I get a place for $750/month (I’m going to assume it’s ‘all inclusive with heating, lights and hydro). So:
Rent: $750
Phone Bill: $80-$110 as I’m figuring it will be after this month
Internet: $45 (an estimate price AND assuming it’s not included with the rent, which it usually isn’t)
Food: $200

So with just that I’m up to $1075-$1105. This leaves me with some money to get my through the rest of the month, but not really enough to put away to save. Sigh, I don’t know. I want to move out but with the money that I’m making and the fact that I have no line of credit, $30 in my savings and bad spending habits; It wouldn’t be wise.

Hey, look at that, I rambled. So feel free to give me advice, because any help as to what I should do would be awesome. I love when people suggest what I should do, it’s easier than thinking for myself. Hehe.

Remember: Playing dumb will almost always get you out of a tough situation. If you need proof, look at Bush. That just proves that the better you are at being stupid, the more people will trust you.
That is all.
