It Starts!
August 6th, 2005 @ 9:00 am by SnorbufarBlogathon begins!
I’ll state this for those of you just tuning in: Blogathon is basically like a marathon (like running a race) where you get sponsors (people) to pledge so much money to a charity of your choice if you do it. In Blogathon’s case, the blogger blogs every 30 minutes for a period of 24 hours.
Last year I did Project Blog, and chose to blog for the Tim Horton’s Children Foundation. This year however, I chose to blog for Wired Safety, an organization dedicated to online safety. I feel with my profession as moderator, it aids in something I believe strongly in. Kids need to learn about safety online, and these people do a good job of doing it.
So, now that I have that out of the way, time for some blogging:
I just finished working for 4 hours, and it lasted forever. And not just because I’m fighting with a headache either from the music last night. But I’ve been up since 5pm Friday, and will be up until 9am Sunday. So for those of you adding, that more then 24 hours. Fun!
Anyway, I have some random topics lined up for the next few posts, so I’ll get on those. I’m sure I’ll cut some of them though because…well they’re just weird. One of these examples would be “Why needles are sharp and pointy.” This is going to be an…interesting 24 hours. Though I like blogging about random stuff. So since I’m unprepared, if anybody has any random topics up their sleves, feel free to share with the rest of the class.
That is all (for now!)
