Penny candy ads in Wow?
So a few minutes ago I read some comments about not wanting to advertise in Second Life, but would be better off on World of Warcraft
Now this statement makes me wonder if they honestly know what they’re talking about. Lets take two ads here: A Linkin Park CD and Hotel rooms. Both can often be seen online, but the target audiences aren’t going to be the same. WoW is mainly teenagers and social rejects. Do they honestly think that advertising hotel rooms to them while they kill orks is going to be the best thing? I’m going to go with no. But if they were selling a CD about ‘how hard life can be’ and throw some emotastic pictures on it they’re going to eat it all up. In short, the Wow crowd isn’g going to be buying anything very costly with mommy and daddy’s credit card. However the SL crowd who is more for socializing than bloodfests may be a better audience for the performance.
