Movie: Daddy’s Little Girls (Review
I sat through Daddy’s Little Girls, though not really my genre, and didn’t look at the clock or get up to get a drink and any point during the movie. That’s saying a lot since I get bored half way through most movies and wonder what else is going on. The story is the typical ‘good person in a bad place cleans up the neighborhood from drug dealers’. I’ve seen this before and it’s still a good plot. The actors had good chemistry and the plot came to a clean end wrapped in a pretty bow. I finished the movie with a good feeling knowing that if you work hard to do something good you’ll make things better. I think that’s a pretty good feeling and this a pretty good movie.
Total: 8/10 Hugs and rainbows for all!
However, I’m truly upset with some of the reviews I’ve seen for this movie. Right now IMBD has it down as 3.1/10, Rotten Tomatoes has it at 24% and thus “Rotten”. Today’s movie critics are becoming cynical bastards. It’s rare that you see a ‘feel good’ film with a decent rating anymore, it’s always the movies where the character suffers and ends up worse off in that end that are getting top spots. Well fuck you critics, feel good movies should be getting top spots because people should be feeling good. In a world where being the bigger asshole gets you further in life it’s good to have hope. So yeah, fuck you all.
