Oh What A Rush
So Summer Rush was cool. Got to hang out with the staffz0r. Took a few picture of various things.
1. A view of the Stage from our own private VIP section. Very cool.
2. My pass to get in. Notice how it says Performer? We had no restictions. Met a couple of the real performers too. Very cool.
3. The company’s display/booth. Yay for colors. The part you can’t read in black says something about world’s biggest online chat with over 4 million users worldwide. Can’t remember the exact wording.
4-7. Buttons we were giving out. I have the whole set <3

Overall it was pretty cool. Also, I saved money on my ticket to Toronto! Usually it’s $90.96 for a return ticket. But when I bought it this time it was only $74 something! I like saving money.
So Saturday (when I got into ToR) I picked up a sub as it was 8:30pm and hadn’t eaten yet. So I call Dorthy (She’s going to hate me for calling her that
) and tell her I just grabbed a sub and I’m going to catch a cab to her place. She tells me that she’s making chicken. So I don’t eat my sub, I plan on eating it later that day. Long story short, I brought it back with me on Monday. Now since I’m often a complete moron, I ate half of it this morning. It really wasn’t too bad. Smelled right, tasted fine, just a little soggy from the lettice and tomatoes. I’m starting to think now, it was in my black laptop bag for like 2 hours walking in the sun. I’m not finishing the rest.
And that is my story for this blog. Summary: Outside is good. Outside with 3 day old meat that was in a black bag on a hot day for like 2 hours is bad. Be smart, listen to somebody else.
That is all.
I’ll Huff and I’ll Puff…
Origami House
I need one of those houses. If anybody sees one for a good price, let me know. Has to allow pets.
Anyway, on to other stuff. I was in Toronto for 6 days (Tues-Tues), and completely cut off from the internet. Was an interesting experience. Though for one of the first times in trying to cut back, I didn’t go through my typical withdrawl symtoms. Pretty damn cool. I went to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory in the IMAX with Dorthy while in Toronto, was very good.
While there, I started reading Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Well, somebody read me the first 100 pages and made me buy it to hear the rest. So I bought a copy for me and a copy for my brother. It’s really good, and I’m not a Harry Potter fan previously. I also bought a Griffendor scarf, but just because I like the colors, I swear.
I came back Tuesday, so that I could/can spend time with my brother Nathan who is up visiting from New Brunswick. So that’s cool. I went to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (yes, a second time) with him on Wednesday night. It was still awesome. I’m not a JD fan, but he was really good in this. I also had to download the whole soundtrack for the movie. I love Danny Elfmanm, he’s my hero.
Planning on going swimming today with the Short Bus today. Should be cool, I haven’t been swimming in more then a year. It will also give me a chance to show off my ‘cheese’. I like my cheese.
Anyway, I’m going to be back in T.Dot Sunday for Summer Rush. We (Company-I-Work-For-Without-A-Name) have a booth. So that’s cool. I’m sure I’ll end up buying another t-shirt against my better judgement. Should be coming back Monday (Or Tuesday, depending how much I drink [If I drink]).
In other news, Cheryl and I have decided to get an apartment together. I was hoping to move to Toronto, but recent events have brought me to the realization that it’s not only something that’s unwise, but totally pointless. So I’m going to find a place here. As long as it’s moving out, I won’t be complaining.
Other than that, I don’t think I forgot anything. That is all. And yes, That’s cool.
Gah
Gah. So here’s the scoop: Dad and Linda are heading down to NB to pick up my brother Saturday morning. He told me last week, so I book Friday’s shift (Saturday 5am-9am) off. So that’s fine. But he doesn’t know when we’re coming back. Well I need to book days off a week in advance. So as it’s Tuesday now, I can’t book a day off until Tuesday’s shift (Wednesday morning). I have Wednesday (Thursday morning) off anyway. So I proposed that we come back on the day I have off, to prevent me from having to cancel any more shifts (I can work while down there, just not while we’re traveling to and from). He won’t give me a date.
So today I say to Cheryl (who doesn’t have to go, which is retarded) that if he doesn’t let me know by Thursday I won’t be going. And my Dad gets all upset in the other room and starts yelling about how I’m going and don’t have a choice.
Now it pisses me off that he has this attitude. He treats my job like it’s not a real job because I’m smart enough to get a job where I don’t have to leave the house (yes, I’m obviously smarter then he is since I got a job where I don’t have to leave the house, and he has to drive 35-40 minutes to work every day). I mean were I making nickles and dimes, fine. But up until last month I was making more money then Cheryl, who was working more then 3 times as many hours as me. So I think that’s pretty damn good.
So yeah, he has basically today and tomarrow. If I don’t have info by Thursday morning then screw him, I won’t go. I work Saturday (Sun), Monday (Tues), Tuesday (Wed), Thursday (Fri), and repeat. So I have Monday mornings and Thursday mornings off. If we don’t travel on those days, I’m not traveling.
Hmm, maybe I’ll go to Toronto or something if he kicks me out of the house while he’s gone, that could be fun. Or I could stay in a hotel. I love hotels. Especially hotels with Wi-Fi. <3 Wi-Fi.
That is all.
Tattoo!
So I finally went out and got my Tattoo. I absolutely love it. Hurt like a son of a bee, but it was worth it. It’s not bad either, only set me back $70. But man, I’m loving it. Everytime I think to myself now “I have a tattoo on my back” I get giddy. It’s just one of those things that makes you feel good knowing that nobody else has the exact same tattoo in the same spot in the whole world (since I drew it myself). That and now when they find me floating face down in a body of water, it’ll be easier to identify me. Woo hoo!
Ahh
Why must I be here? Is it my destiny to hate? Is it my destiny to not want to get up in the morning? Is it my destiny to die? Or is my destiny to kill. Either way, It won’t last much longer.
Within the next 2 weeks, it will be over and I’ll be gone. Forget all this anger, forget all the yelling, forget all rage. Should I be happy, sad, or otherwise, I will no longer be living in this house.
2 weeks = 14 days = 336 hours = 20 160 minutes = 1 209 600 seconds
Mmm, moonlight
So Cheryl and I took off tonight, got picked up to go hang out at about 9:30pm, came back about 3:30am or so. We went to some Francaphone concert thing (La bastille [sp] ). I didn’t understand many of the words in the songs, only because I couldn’t make out WTF they were saying because it was fast. Good beats though.
After, Marshall and I scared the living hell out of Tanya and Tee. They had gone to Marshall’s car before everybody else because of the bugs, so I said to Marshall “I bet they’re having a quickie” (Note: They’re not lesbians) and he said “We should go check it out” and I replied “Let’s go scare them instead”.
So we snuck all the way around the park (wear our white and yellow shirts) and hid behind some trees. Now the car was in the middle of the parking lot, by itself. So we crawled about 40 feet across the parking lot on our stomachs. First we shook the car. Then we didn’t know what to do. So 10 minutes later, we shook it again. Still, they stayed in the car. So we shook it again. Then we saw a car going to drive by, so we took that distraction and crawled to the front of the car. Just as we got there, we saw the others coming up from the end of the concert. We knew we had to act fast, or this would all be for nothing. So we dove up on the front hood of the car. They screamed SO loud that the others heard them like 40 feet away.
Now at first, we were laughing, because we got them good (the plan was perfectly executed). However after a minute, we realized that we actually scared them, and that sucks. Tee ended up crying and Tanya, well I fear to sleep. Tee finally admitted it was good, but I still think Tanya is going to kill us.
So then we went to McDicks until they kicked us out at 1am, then went to a park (yes, with swings, slides, etc) and hung out until 3. So it was a good night.
Oh, here’s a neat game called Poom that Angie pointed out to me just now. Very cool. So far my best has been 950, but I vow that I will get 1000 before bed
Anyway, that’s it. I should sleep soon, it’s 5:30am. So That is all.
Coolios
So, as you can (or can not) notice from the previous post, I now have the ability to post from my cell phone. I don’t plan on doing it often (as it will cost me an arm and a leg) but the option is there, and that’s cool.
So, the past few days I have been obsessed with HitchHikers Guide to the Galaxy. I saw the movie a few weeks back, and it was wow. So I downloaded the audiobook, it rocked. Then I downloaded the second one of the series (The restauraunt at the end of the universe) and it rocked. So now I’m on the 3rd one. I’m loving this series. So cool. So I’ve been wasting all my time on that one.
Hmm, what else is new…not much. I’m starting to get kind of bored again, and I blame summer. Summer always makes me tired and bored.
So if anybody can think of anything super-cool or awesome to do or whatever, let me know. I just need something to occupy my time. Games, ideas, whatever; just say it!
That is all!
Well look at that!
I don’t know what it is, but it seems whenever I have something I could talk about, I just don’t feel like blogging about it. I know, it’s easier to blog about something then when you have something to blog about you’re too busy with it to blog about it. Oh the delema.
So first off. the laptop: It is here, and it is fine. My nice 2.1gHZ runs well, with exception to the ram (256mb). I was planning on putting off the upgrade of that ($72) until a later date, but no. I was looking at iPods on ebay, and found a nice 10GB for $113, I was going to get it. Then my computer lagged me out. That was the straw, ram is needed now! So I’m going to go down to Canada Computers today and pick it up. I think I should be fine with 768mb ram for now, no? Then my computer will be ‘awesomer’.
Next on the list: Check out Tom’s Blog. Yay for blogging!
What else to talk about…I just signed a contract renewal for my current position (woo hoo, I passed the probationary period!). Yes, this means I didn’t get the position I wanted in Toronto. But it’s all good, things happen for a reason.
I’m still looking to move to Toronto, though at this point I’m having doubts of it. OK, lets say I get a place for $750/month (I’m going to assume it’s ‘all inclusive with heating, lights and hydro). So:
Rent: $750
Phone Bill: $80-$110 as I’m figuring it will be after this month
Internet: $45 (an estimate price AND assuming it’s not included with the rent, which it usually isn’t)
Food: $200
So with just that I’m up to $1075-$1105. This leaves me with some money to get my through the rest of the month, but not really enough to put away to save. Sigh, I don’t know. I want to move out but with the money that I’m making and the fact that I have no line of credit, $30 in my savings and bad spending habits; It wouldn’t be wise.
Hey, look at that, I rambled. So feel free to give me advice, because any help as to what I should do would be awesome. I love when people suggest what I should do, it’s easier than thinking for myself. Hehe.
Remember: Playing dumb will almost always get you out of a tough situation. If you need proof, look at Bush. That just proves that the better you are at being stupid, the more people will trust you.
That is all.
Money,Money,Money
Money, Money!
So, at other’s mishap, I’ve covered another shift. Yay me. I swear, whatever it is that I’m doing, it must be awesome because I have no desire to sleep and I’ve been up since noon yesterday. It may be the slushie, 2L of cream soda I chugged and the Sugary Cereal that I’m chowing down on; But I doubt it.
Hopefully this will put some cash back into my ’saved-from-last-month’ money that I had to attack to pay my phone bill. Some how I managed to get a $179 cell phone bill. Yes, you read that right: $179. I was giving myself the idea that it would be $150 (higher so I wouldn’t be suprised) and my mental math sucks. No other word but sucks. Then again, I was just guessing, not so much math.
Next topic: I’m applying for another job. Yes, this one is (simply put) a customer service job within the company I work for now. If I get it, it would be great. One catch: It’s in Toronto. Now as you (my only reader I’m sure) may or may not know, I’m not in Toronto. However, I hope to be. It’s my goal to move to Toronto, and has been for quite awhile. I’ve been looking at apartments the past few months, now it’s basically just getting one. I seem to have a very minimum to be able to pay for it. So it’s mostly just finding a good one and keeping it. The hardest part will be getting it though. Joy of having no credit at all. Oh well, we’ll see how it all works out.
Hmm, what is else new…I don’t think there is much more. Mentioned the working, cell phone, job, apartment; Yeah, that’s about it. Oh the life I lead.
Now back to work. That is all.
Another one
…Rides the bus.
So I found and purchased a laptop. Spent just under $1000 on it. I imagine it will go over with customs carges. Though it’s a nice 2.1gHZ. It costs about $1.5k for a decent 1.6gHZ most places. So this is a real bargain. Should do me great. FedEx is uber-expencive though. Should be here Monday. I’ll give you more details then.
Another detail: Server is going through the renewal process. It costs money. So if anybody feels like they want to keep Shirtninja alive (or just feel like donating) the donate through paypal button is always up in the top right corner of the page. Every penny counts.
Anyway, I need to get back to work. Most of my shifts have become the 5am-9am shifts. I don’t mind it really, it’s putting me into a better schedule. I’m also doing more work from 7-9 then I did the whole shift doing 1am-5am. It’s fun!
Happy Habboing!
