We have lift off
Wow, long time no post.
So I finally moved out, have MY OWN APARTMENT. It consists of a couch, tv, fridge, microwave, bed, and bathroom. My fridge right now has in it: Pop, pizza, pizza pockets, bread, milk. Yeah, is that not the best diet ever? I thought so. But seriously, this rocks. I love it. Clicky Clicky.
Besides that, still just working and stuff. Yeah, I think the moving thing is the only of intrest. So now…Refer Risk! I love this thing.
Cart Demolition
Tonight I went to see 40 year old virgin. It was the best movie of all time. I laughed my ass off the whole time to the point that I was in tears.
After the movie we found some carts sitting around, so we were playing around with them for more then an hour. Freaking awesome. Even have pics.

So I’ve decided to write a short story. Why you may ask? Well mostly because I’m bored. But also because it’s fun to get random stuff out of my head. I’ve written the first two chapters already, have a general idea of what I’m doing for chapter 3 and already have good chunks of the rest of the story worked out in my head. So it’s all about getting there.

I’m going to go over and knock on his door. When he answers, I’ll hand him a knife, tell him I’m going to kill him and then beat the fuck out of him until every bone is broken. At which time, I’m going to take the knife I gave him back, and cut him into small pieces as he suffers the last few minutes of his life. I’m going to mail all the parts except the head to his family and friends. The head I will use for talking to the insurance company once I burn down his house.

So a few days ago, something happened at work and I had to call Tech Support in Finland. So I tried calling from my cell and got the nice “This feature is not yet activated. Please call Telus Client Care to activate this feature.” So I called them, and they were closed. How can a 24/7 Client Care be closed at 3am, I’ll never know. Anyway, I had to use the home phone, and I’m sure it’s going to cost me 3 arms and a leg.
So I just got off the phone with Telus, as I had to call them to set up the international calling. I talked to Larry, he rocked. I told him my situation, this is how it went:
Larry: “That’s strange, with your plan it should have already been enabled. I’ll enter it manually.”
Me: “Awesome.”
Larry: “OK, I’ve entered it manually. You should have a bunch of new international features enabled in your phone. Just turn it off for a few minutes and turn it back on.”
Me: “Cool. Do you think that it might be that I haven’t turned my phone off since April?”
Larry: “You haven’t turned your phone off since April? You’re a real slave driver Jeff.”
Me: “Yeah, well for the price that you guys are charging me I’m allowed to be.”
Larry: “True enough. Anything else?”
Me: “Nope, you rock Larry. So whenever I call again I’ll ask for you, the chicks I’ve talked to before were stupid.”
Larry: “No need to tell me, I work with them.”
Me: “Rocking, thanks Larry.”
Larry: “Later Jeff.”
Now why the hell can’t all Customer Service reps be like Larry? Larry is now my hero. I’m going to say that e’s the best damn Customer Service Rep EVER.

Here I go again! (Don’t Ask)
Anyway, I was totally pissed off Friday. My paycheck was messed up and I was almost to the point of sending them an email with the words “Knock, Knock”. I didn’t however. I went to bed instead. A good thing too, I know I would have paid out the nose for doing it. I don’t get mad often, but I never get ‘a little mad’. I’m always not mad or pissed off. Not a good thing, but it’s hard to control. But yeah, I realized it sucks, but I’ll live with it. Everybody makes mistakes and things happen for a reason. Oh well.
So yesterday (Saturday) I bought an extra Xbox controller and 007 Nightfire. So now I have something to play with Nathan, and he’s able to play (as I only had one controller previous). I was tempted to buy a 3rd controller, not sure why. I blame my Uncle James for that urge [See extended]. So we played that the whole night. It’s a great game, especially since it has bots. It reminds me so much of Perfect Dark with the bot personalities. I guess that’s why I love it.
So today after my much needed nap, after my shift, we’re going to Melissa (step-cousin I think) ’s surprise B-day party. I’m pretty sure she is turning 13, but I could be wrong. Cheryl picked up a pink purse with a butterfly on it (I picked it out). I was told Melissa liked pink and bugs, so this just had to be picked up. She also picked up a Rock n Roll for Kids CD. Melissa likes older stuff from what I’ve gathered (I guess just because she can’t listen to much of the newer stuff becase of language and subject matter. 
). Either way, I hope she likes it.
Oh, that’s what I was going to write about. Somehow, someway I got a virus on my laptop earlier today. No clue how. Had to go into Safe Mode with Command Promt to get rid of it (as it kept saying it was in use and wouldn’t delete it), made me feel all geeky and stuff. I have no clue how it got on though. The virus was an IE exploit and I don’t even have IE installed. Stupid Windows. On that, I was talking to Johno about something able to get Windows Updates without IE (at this point, I install it to download the updates, then uninstall it again). His answer: Linux. So I have an install thing for Fedora sitting here now. I’ll partition my drive later this week and install it.

Oh What A Rush
So Summer Rush was cool. Got to hang out with the staffz0r. Took a few picture of various things.
1. A view of the Stage from our own private VIP section. Very cool.
2. My pass to get in. Notice how it says Performer? We had no restictions. Met a couple of the real performers too. Very cool.
3. The company’s display/booth. Yay for colors. The part you can’t read in black says something about world’s biggest online chat with over 4 million users worldwide. Can’t remember the exact wording.

Overall it was pretty cool. Also, I saved money on my ticket to Toronto! Usually it’s $90.96 for a return ticket. But when I bought it this time it was only $74 something! I like saving money.
So Saturday (when I got into ToR) I picked up a sub as it was 8:30pm and hadn’t eaten yet. So I call Dorthy (She’s going to hate me for calling her that ) and tell her I just grabbed a sub and I’m going to catch a cab to her place. She tells me that she’s making chicken. So I don’t eat my sub, I plan on eating it later that day. Long story short, I brought it back with me on Monday. Now since I’m often a complete moron, I ate half of it this morning. It really wasn’t too bad. Smelled right, tasted fine, just a little soggy from the lettice and tomatoes. I’m starting to think now, it was in my black laptop bag for like 2 hours walking in the sun. I’m not finishing the rest.
And that is my story for this blog. Summary: Outside is good. Outside with 3 day old meat that was in a black bag on a hot day for like 2 hours is bad. Be smart, listen to somebody else.

Anyway, on to other stuff. I was in Toronto for 6 days (Tues-Tues), and completely cut off from the internet. Was an interesting experience. Though for one of the first times in trying to cut back, I didn’t go through my typical withdrawl symtoms. Pretty damn cool. I went to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory in the IMAX with Dorthy while in Toronto, was very good.
While there, I started reading Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Well, somebody read me the first 100 pages and made me buy it to hear the rest. So I bought a copy for me and a copy for my brother. It’s really good, and I’m not a Harry Potter fan previously. I also bought a Griffendor scarf, but just because I like the colors, I swear.
I came back Tuesday, so that I could/can spend time with my brother Nathan who is up visiting from New Brunswick. So that’s cool. I went to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (yes, a second time) with him on Wednesday night. It was still awesome. I’m not a JD fan, but he was really good in this. I also had to download the whole soundtrack for the movie. I love Danny Elfmanm, he’s my hero.
Planning on going swimming today with the Short Bus today. Should be cool, I haven’t been swimming in more then a year. It will also give me a chance to show off my ‘cheese’. I like my cheese.
Anyway, I’m going to be back in T.Dot Sunday for Summer Rush. We (Company-I-Work-For-Without-A-Name) have a booth. So that’s cool. I’m sure I’ll end up buying another t-shirt against my better judgement. Should be coming back Monday (Or Tuesday, depending how much I drink [If I drink]).
In other news, Cheryl and I have decided to get an apartment together. I was hoping to move to Toronto, but recent events have brought me to the realization that it’s not only something that’s unwise, but totally pointless. So I’m going to find a place here. As long as it’s moving out, I won’t be complaining.
Other than that, I don’t think I forgot anything. That is all. And yes, That’s cool.
Gah
Gah. So here’s the scoop: Dad and Linda are heading down to NB to pick up my brother Saturday morning. He told me last week, so I book Friday’s shift (Saturday 5am-9am) off. So that’s fine. But he doesn’t know when we’re coming back. Well I need to book days off a week in advance. So as it’s Tuesday now, I can’t book a day off until Tuesday’s shift (Wednesday morning). I have Wednesday (Thursday morning) off anyway. So I proposed that we come back on the day I have off, to prevent me from having to cancel any more shifts (I can work while down there, just not while we’re traveling to and from). He won’t give me a date.
So today I say to Cheryl (who doesn’t have to go, which is retarded) that if he doesn’t let me know by Thursday I won’t be going. And my Dad gets all upset in the other room and starts yelling about how I’m going and don’t have a choice.
Now it pisses me off that he has this attitude. He treats my job like it’s not a real job because I’m smart enough to get a job where I don’t have to leave the house (yes, I’m obviously smarter then he is since I got a job where I don’t have to leave the house, and he has to drive 35-40 minutes to work every day). I mean were I making nickles and dimes, fine. But up until last month I was making more money then Cheryl, who was working more then 3 times as many hours as me. So I think that’s pretty damn good.
So yeah, he has basically today and tomarrow. If I don’t have info by Thursday morning then screw him, I won’t go. I work Saturday (Sun), Monday (Tues), Tuesday (Wed), Thursday (Fri), and repeat. So I have Monday mornings and Thursday mornings off. If we don’t travel on those days, I’m not traveling.
Hmm, maybe I’ll go to Toronto or something if he kicks me out of the house while he’s gone, that could be fun. Or I could stay in a hotel. I love hotels. Especially hotels with Wi-Fi. <3 Wi-Fi.

Tattoo!
So I finally went out and got my Tattoo. I absolutely love it. Hurt like a son of a bee, but it was worth it. It’s not bad either, only set me back $70. But man, I’m loving it. Everytime I think to myself now “I have a tattoo on my back” I get giddy. It’s just one of those things that makes you feel good knowing that nobody else has the exact same tattoo in the same spot in the whole world (since I drew it myself). That and now when they find me floating face down in a body of water, it’ll be easier to identify me. Woo hoo!
