Mommy, it’s over!

What can I say, Blogathon 2007 is officially over. This year I managed to raise $76.49 for the Tim Horton Children Foundation. Out of the four years that I’ve done this, this year has been the most successful. Remember, you still have time to pledge as they will be open until Monday/Tuesday. Somebody spiked the punch

So I managed to score big2 rounds in a row and end up with 42 coins (which is a lot to hold at once on this level). I put them all into a hotel and it moves up to a 3 star hotel (max). So I’m doing good there then one of the players land on a happening square and steal 30 of the coins from the hotel I just put in and it drops back down to a 2 star hotel. Then the next player lands on the same square and takes 11 coins. So I got royally screwed there.

Mario Party!

In my latest attempt to keep myself awake I’m playing Mario Party 8 on the wii. The goal of this level is own the most hotels (stars) at the end of the game (30 rounds). You gain control of a hotel by investing more coins into it than other players. I have all 3 players set on hard in hopes that it will be a challenge and the scores are currently:
1st: Toadette 2 stars, 13 coins
2nd Dry Bones: 1 star, 3 coins
3rd Hammer Bro (me): 19 coins
4th Birdo: 18 coins

I’ll keep you updated on the progress, it should take me right up until the end of blogathon

Screaming

I’m sitting here commenting on a few of the blogs I’m monitoring when I hear a deep devil-like “Jeff, you’re an idiot go to bed before I kill you.”. I look around for a minute then think to myself ‘Did I just say that?’.

I’m trying to stay awake, I’ve taken 2 showers in the past hour, it’s not going to work forever though.

You’re kidding, right?

So I’m standing in what is almost a completely cold shower trying to keep myself awake when the next thing I know I’m seeing me talking to a woman I don’t know. She’s crying and I say “Are you going to keep it? Maybe we could put it up for adoption”. Then she looks at me, turns into a snake and bites my year off. That had better mean I fell asleep, because if that was a vision of the future while I’m awake I’m scared.
