Toy: Captain Planet

With your guesses combined, It was Captain Planet!

Captain Planet and the Planeteers was awesome. In fact, it was actually thought up by the same guys who did the Trash Bag Bunch we talked about earlier. For those out of the loop: There was 5 environmentalists who has 5 rings that had powers (Earth, fire, wind, water, heart) to help them fight looting and polluting. When their powers combined, they formed Captain Planet!
It was pretty epic. I had Captain planet and the Geo-Something plane they had. Captain planet had a string that came out of his back so you could ‘fly’ around with him. I also have the NES game around somewhere I think, though it was pretty lame.
I actually still have one of the rings they had, it’s water. If I could figure out where my camera ran off to, I’d show you. Oh well.
Mokia got it FTW! She’s graciously donated her $2 winnings to the folks over at Make Mine Gluten Free! who are blogging for the National Foundation for Celiac Awareness.
Keep it up guys. There will be another round once I think of another toy, so keep ‘em peeled.

You ready for the next round of ‘Guess That Toy’? I am!
This one is pretty easy, I’ll give $2 towards the charity of the first person to guess it in the comments. Ready?
What is it?

This toy requires us to combine our efforts to play with it.

And I’m very inconsistent it providing good content every post. I’ve got Round 5 picked out already for the Toy game (it’ll be easier than the last one, trust me) and will be coming up in 30.
Plug: This is me, Take it or Leave it

Time for the first plug of the night: Gylanne is blogging on her blog This is me, Take it or Leave it and is blogging for Band of Parents.
Band of parents raises money for research of Neuroblastoma, a deadly form of cancer that effects over 650 children in the U.S. every year. “Survival is dependent on age and disease stage: children diagnosed before the age of 18 months have a high survival rate, but high risk children diagnosed before age 5 have about a 30 percent chance of growing up.”
Give her a little lump change love by pledging here for her cause and be sure to leaver her some comments to keep her going.

Long await answer to Round Four
What is it?
Trash Bag Buddy!

Trash Bag Buddy were a short-lived toy back in 1991. The idea behind them was to bring awareness about recycling and saving the environment.
These were cool because they came in a sold-colored bag so that you couldn’t tell which one it was. When you put it in hot water, the bag turned into dio-degradable green goop and you could take the monster inside out.
They were cool, I just liked them because they were awesome and the suspense between getting it and finding out which you got was always fun.

Mix it up a little bit

I figure now is as good of time as any to start getting my second wind going.
The first thing I did to accomplish that: Change my ear rings. I decided to put in my blue earskin, instead of the black segment rings.
Actually, I’ll take a picture for the next post I suppose. Let’s make that the next thing to do: Take a picture of your ears and send me a link!
First Yawn

Wow, I just yawned. What’s up with that? I may need to make a Monster run soon.
I’m going to let Round Four run for a bit longer to see if anybody else guesses it.
In the mean time, I have a meme in mind (which I won’t tell you about yet). I will say it has to do with drawing though. So if you have a tablet around, or need ot practice with your mouse now is a good time to start ![]()

As promised, it’s time for round four of our ‘Guess that Toy’ Game. This one is likely going to go without a guess. First (If any) to answer correctly in the comments, your charity is getting $10.
What is it?

Some thought these toys were nothing but trash, but they were awesome and had a great message behind them.
